     JOHN [vel.  Button], of Solhampton, [b. cir. 1595; disclaimed and was fined £10 for not taking knighthood at the coronation of Charles I (1633); afterwards joined the parliament]; m. c. 1617 . . . dau. of Rev. John Wood, Rector of Astley, and had issue:
1.John, who m. . . . dau. of Thos. Burlton, of Sambourne, but d. s.p.
2.SAMUEL, b.1620 at Solhampton, of whom presently.
3.Joseph, left issue, one daughter.
4.Mary, m. in 1655 John Bury, of Mumble
5.Susanna, m. John Vicaris, of Astley, who disclaimed at the Vis. of 1682-3.
6.William [of Martley], m. Catherine, and had issue:
